Your HSE girls soccer team are State Champions. HSE beat Carmel 1-0 for the title of State Champions when Riley Boyd put the ball in the back of the net after a misstep from a Carmel defender and their GK with just under 6 to go in the game. Hannah Dodge came up HUGE on 5 saves, one with 20 minutes left in 2nd half at point blank range. The team defense was incredible and Izzie Springer, Lauren Kutolski, Bailey Sapp, Sydney Cook, and Blair Satterfield helped Dodge earn the shutout. The midfield was a battle of talent and HSE held their own and really took away some great offense that Carmel had been building the past few games in their midfield. The offense put so much pressure on the Carmel backline and just kept attacking knowing they would eventually get one in. The girls were overwhelmed by the support of family, the incredible student body, and the ALUMNI that showed out for our game...thank you!
