The Royals closed out a phenomenal season at the IHSAA Boys Track & Field State Finals, earning 11 team points and finishing 24th overall among the best in the state. 🔥 Highlights from the Meet: The meet started off with the 4x800m relay team—Will Henning, Omar Elsayed, Liam McNiven, and Mason Schmitz —running a great race and finishing 11th with a strong time of 7:54.17. Christian Ortiz delivered a standout performance in the 400m dash, racing to a 5th-place finish in 48.15. Liam Powers (11) battled in the stacked 3200m field, earning 9th place with an impressive time of 9:06.57, continuing his rise as one of the top distance runners in the state. Sam Long (11) represented HSE in both hurdle events, placing 20th in the 110m hurdles (14.91) and 23rd in the 300m hurdles (40.18). Evan Senefeld (12) closed out his senior season in the pole vault, proudly representing HSE at the highest level of competition. The meet was rounded out with the 4x400m relay team of Deacon Lewis, Jaxson Wanza, Christian Ortiz, and Mason Schmitz placing 5th overall with a time of 3:17.59. 👏 Congratulations to all of our state qualifiers!
