Senior Elizabeth Butler was named the Mental Attitude Award winner in Girls Track & Field at the IHSAA State Track Meet on Saturday, June 7. Elizabeth earned 8 varsity letters in Track & Field and Cross Country. Elizabeth earned All State honors in the 2 sports 4 times as well as Academic All State honors 4 times. She was named IATCCC Miss Cross Country in the fall. She leaves HSE holding school records in 5K Cross Country, 3200 M Run (indoors and outdoors), and 4x800 M Relay. Elizabeth co-founded the Women in Engineering club at HSE and was also a member of the National Honor Society as well as the National Art Honor Society. Elizabeth will attend Purdue University this fall where she will study engineering and run cross country and track and field. Congratulations to Elizabeth and her parents, Mark and Cindy Butler!!!!
