Girls Track finishes second at the Charlie Riley Invite

The Lady Royals Track Team finished second with 122.5 points to host North Central that had 127 points Thursday at the Charlie Riley Invite. The team had many outstanding performances with a big one in the last race of the night. The 4x400 relay team of Ciara Kepner, Elizabeth Butler, Anissa Lammie, and Chloe Senefeld broke the meet record by 6 seconds, a record which was set in 1987! Their time of 3:51.16 is the fastest time in the state, 3rd fastest time in school history, and the fastest ever run in April by the Royals. Other event winners were Elia Blackmore in the 100 hurdles running a lifetime PR of 14.80 which moves her to 4th all time at HSE and is currently 5th in the state, Elizabeth Butler in the 1600 run with a lifetime PR of 4:55.46 which moves her up to 3rd all time at HSE and currently 3rd in the state, Anissa Lammie in the 400 with a season best time of 56.16 which is 3rd in the state, Ciara Kepner in the 800 run with a season best time of 2:16.35 currently 8th in the state, and Catey Campbell in the 3200 with a lifetime best of 11:26.37 which is top 20 in the state. Elia Blackmore also placed second in the 300 hurdles with a season best time of 45.02 which is 4th in the state. The 4x800 relay team of Campbell, Evie Patch, Anaya Lammie and Addison Smith also finished runner-up with at top 15 time in the state of 9:49.84. The 4x100 relay team of Blackmore, Senefeld, Laila Ehrgott and Kaleah McCarter ran the 7th fastest time in state as they placed 5th in the race with a time of 48.73.
